Our Client is a large, well established Infrastructure Service provider within the public sector, offering a diverse and integrated range of highways and transportation solutions. They are looking for a Street Lighting Manager to take responsibility for running the Street Lighting Team.
Duties include:
Managing the day-to-day operational activities of the Street Lighting Team
Producing annual, three monthly and two weekly works programs
Providing information to allow roadspace allocation to be completed on a weekly basis
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
Producing risk assessments and method statements in accordance with safe working procedures
Ensuring all COSSH assessments are carried out for hazardous materials
Ensuring all HSEQ and KPI targets are met
Ensuring the availability and effective use of resources, plant and labour
Controlling sub-contractors operations and holding regular meetings to discuss progress and planning
Monthly cost / value reporting to the Deputy Network Manager
The successful candidate will:
Have experience within construction or highways maintenance
Ideally be educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering
Have considerable knowledge of construction or highways maintenance
Be available on call for emergency cover
Be able to manage workforce, both direct and subcontractor labour
Be a strong communicator and team player
